Does such a thing exist?

I don't know what to search for in the forums, so forgive me if this has been addressed. I'm looking for something that is prebuilt that does laser effects- preferably something in 3d that you can use with fog. I'm wondering what this is called and if there are prebuilt units that can be upgraded, have diffraction gratings that are designed for them, etc. Something that will be able to do the liquid sky, time tunnel, and possible other effects all in one simple unit. I found a few cheap things on Ebay that look like they are designed for DJ's... generally they are around $50, have 30-50mW lasers and are yellow, red, and green.

You're looking for laser scanners. You can find them fairly cheaply on ebay from China, but the quality is certainly not pro level. Good search keywords are "laser light show" or "ILDA scanner"

That's just a laser pointer with swappable tips. Heh. Take your current laser. Point it at the wall. Shake it. There, you just saved $20.

gf bought me one when we were younger. Got it at the specialty gifts shop at the mall. The one with all the blacklights and lavalamps. It ran off of 4 D-cells and had 2 mirrors and a red laser.

Wish I still had it, I have better mirrors and lasers now, but nothing to put them in.
