Well, you for sure would be taking a gamble. You wont know for sure what your getting. Id go to Lazerer.com if you want proper specs.

The problem is that my country is very strict on laser(they return all above 5mw overspec laser). So have to buy from local store.

I went lazerer and saw that the cheapest 30mw is $32. So the chance of me getting a lemon is low?

Oh, if its local. Go for it. You cant really loose when its only 30 dollars in this hobby. Plus, they would return a defective laser, if need be, right?

Edit: Also, add your approximate location to your info. It helps us when answering questions sometimes.
And you may even find someone near you that enjoys lasers :)

I don't know what country you live in, but if Amazon ships to you, I would recommend you check them out. There are lasers advertised as 5mW, but they are overspec to 50mw+. I recently bought one from Amazon, and its at least 50mW, but unfortunately, it got taken down and you can't buy it anymore. But I have found others from the same seller that are more than likely just as powerful.

Thanks but I think these are laser pens which cannot be focused.

In my country singapore they take the pen and tested. Emailed me saying the highest is 65mw. All sent back to seller
