Which do you prefer: Dx Dilda or Igor's Blu- ray

Hey guys, I am about to purchase my second laser, and I'm stuck between two choices. I already have a Nova X100, and I don't know if I should buy the DX 200mW Red laser w/ goggles, or a 80-90mW Blu-ray from IgorT. Which would you guys prefer?

Blu-ray lasers are MUCH more fun (and they can get you laid)

Yup! ::) I already have a red laser.But if I didn't, I'm pretty sure I'd still choose a blu-ray. :cool:

If you want mainly burning, get the dilda. If you want to play with GITD stuff and florescence and a little burning, get the IgorT Blu-ray.

Yes, choose Igor. He shipped my BR the day before yesterday, and he said it would be here on friday, I can't wait! :)

I've never seen a BR in real life before, but everyone says it looks great. But go with Igor anyway, he has excellent support and always make quality posts. He throws in some free stuff as well. ;)

Although, if you wanrt burning power before a laser that looks stunning, you should go with the Dilda-lazor.

Wow, Gooey: a BR in a dilda host, that's pretty neat! If I were you, I would not sell it: it would definitley satisfy me to have one ;D!

That's not really a valid comparison. You can get a Dilda anytime, and it's only $56 or something. You'll be paying that much for parts alone from IgorT. That's just the raw price. Then you factor in labor, the uniqueness of the product, and the fact that there are very special parts in that BR.

The red will have better burning. Bluray lasers are still expensive. If you allready had a red I would say go for the Bluray, but the red is too good to pass up.

Cheap and a very good burner. I would say if you can afford a Bluray which are far more expensive, why not buy both.

200mW will have more burn power the 90 mW, so the red will be more fun and is so cheap how can you pass it up.

So my suggestion buy both. I allready have the red 200mW DX and would love s Bluray also, but think a bit expensive at the moment. I like the power of having 200mW of power over 90mW anyday.

Actually the blu-ray will be the one with better burning capabilities...IMO...I don't have a dilda, but my red is also putting out in the 160-200mw range, so the comparison should be on the money.

I can burn through white paper, pop any color balloon that I want (even flourescent green and orange ones, just takes a bit longer)...IIRC you need atleast 300+mw of green to burn paper like a +100mw blu-ray, don't know how red compares as I don't use it much at all, blu-ray is just too cool...you will not be disapointed. I got bored of red in a couple of days whereas blu-ray is always in use.
