Why does DragonLasersFanMan continually advocate that it is safe to handle high-power class IIIb's for burning, indoors, without wearing eye protection? Has anyone had a chat with him? Is he on this forum?
IMO, he is inadvertently providing a "comfort blanket" for those who may not be familiar with laser safety (people learning, casual laserists, etc). As people will view him as a knowledgeable laser expert, his advice is indirectly putting these casual/uninformed laserists, and everyone around them, at risk of permanent eye injury.
For reference, I'm commenting about the video where a very young kid (may be 12-13 years old) is burning something ~2ft from his face with a 175mW greenie, and DragonLasersFanMan is stating that this kid was perfectly safe in doing so! All the while, the green reflection is lighting up this kid's face. :wtf:
