Yeah why would you want to use a DVD burner when you can get two for the same price in our GB? And that's 18x so it's most likely open can.

simple answer: cant buy stuff online right now ;D

I have to go to a local radioshack to get it. Although those GBD's seem really cool.

Anyway, thanks.

Here's how I buy online stuff without using a credit card:

I use what's called a "pre-paid" MasterCard. It works the same way as a pre-paid phone card, you pay at the cash register and you are issued a real live mastercard number that you use just like a regular credit card (up to the amount that you paid at the register). There's no age requirement and you don't have to bug Senkat! Here in the states they are sold at Safeway grocery stores and probably other places as well.

I thought the states only had wallmart and costco an that's pretty much it. we used to have safeway in the uk but they just seemed to disappear. http://www.tuxedocard.com/ is something similar in the uk

DUUUUUUURRRRR….

I…. Should…. Have… Thought… Of… That…. A long long long time ago on my own!

I've been wracking my brain FOREVER to figure out a way to put my pocket-change into PayPal and ummm…. "avoid an accounting trail" with the household Chief Financial Officer by not using the regular checking account or credit cards.

Whenever I've got a few random tens or twenties, I have to squirrel them away lest I get the dreaded, "Dear, do you have any cash in your wallet?" from the spouse when paying for a meal, or out running errands. And the cash I was setting aside for gear, "guy stuff" or some project or another gets frittered away.

And even if I squirrel away the cash, there's darn few retail places I can spend those bucks on what I want, the prices are too high as compared to online, or I have to remember to have my mad-money stash with me ahead of time for when I need it. Nor is it earning any interest while that cash is sitting there in the sock drawer etc.

The only flaw in the plan is some online places don't take the "gift card" Visa/Mastercard numbers. I'll have to test PayPal with a small amount to be sure it works.
