Dilda from o-like?

Heya guys!

I'm planing to get a dilda, and I thoguht of o-like ofc (little bit scared about your comments of dildas at 140mW coming from DX).

The question is, have anyone bought dilda form olike and tested it? Could you please expose he the results? I mean I do not carea bout the batteries and charger, Im just buying from o-like cuz its supsoed to test and send only over 180mW ones, anyone here can confirm it?

I've just paid 54$ for the dilda to Susie as she promised a 190+ average output to me, plus batteries and charger in another package.

I really dont mind in paying 6 bucks for a 10mW extra power :D

I'll post results as soon as i get it and can go to university to test, they got a kinda nice power meter ;P

If you want above 200mW, use 3.6V CR2 (hard to find instead of 3V ones (sold at DX). This laser's driver is not fully regulated, and the output depends on the input voltage. You can get more than 220mW this way, and the diode will withstand it because it's a long die closed can one. There's a member here who went upt to 12v input... and the results were awesome (above 260mw i think). It's all about chinese drivers...

It takes two CR2s, right? I'd say use one 3V and one 3.6V... Driving it more than it's rated for could lead to trouble... Especially with cheap Chinese lasers. :-/

Ever read the warnings on the batteries and the devices that use them?

Back on topic,
O-Like sends you 3.0V batteries and charger. My Dilda-Laser that I owned for a while used about 320mA.

I've been running my Dildas for about a month now on 3.6V CR2
batteries...

1) they increased my Dildas out out to the advertised power of 200mW :eek:
(the Dilda with 3.0V CR2s was only 176mW)

2) they have not died.... I use them almost daily.. :cool:

using two different batteries or battery types will result in one draining faster than the other one, and possibly one charging the other into reverse voltage (effectively killing the weaker battery)

How many times are we going to rehash the same posts? Seriously. If Susie was screwing people, her modules wouldn't be the subject of a well though out, custom DIY host. The Dilda would never have been immortalized as an abuse subject, to much fanfare (and unbelieveable success) ....

Search "Juice Rechargeable" on Ebay for 3.6v CR2's, quit looking for someone to reinforce your expenditure of a whopping $46, PLEASE.

Just my 2 cents, I'm taking a pill now.

I know using 3.6 will increase the power, thats why i took one that is alredy giving 190mW+ on 3V, imagine what on 3.6 :D

Well at all I need the 190mW with 3V just for a bet with a friend who said that was "imposible" to have such a power from such a low voltage (6V) for that price. heuehuehe

what about the battery which come with this laser..?? are they protected??? do i need to check their voltage to not discharge them under some voltage??

i do the same question :) i want buy the dilda....and o like seems to be better than dealextreme. but I am sorry to have the batteries at 3v and not 3.6 v.
the most important thing is then the dilda has at least 180mw.... i HOPE :eek:

They have all their dildas on 180mW and for some bucks more they will send you one over 190mW. Their customer support is excelent, feel free to email them you got answers less than 24h (if not immediatly) always.

I 've run my dilda's at 8.0v to 8.4v for a while now no problems . I use 2 , 3 AAA  holders from outsourced flashlights and
whilst I can't tell you the mW 's I can tell you that there is a considerable differance in the power of the unit. The cylce time I run these at  about 45 sec to 2 min not that worried thought as these are hardy and readly  available . peace :)
