Yes it will work but that is not the drilled pill, just remove the rear of the module unless it's one of the newer short ones, a 30mm long module won't fit with that pill, also your wires may need to be shortened, DTR is generous with the length of his wires.

Does the C6 come with a pill.

Irrelevant.

The solution to your problem is:

Yes, the pill you linked, which contains the 220mA driver, is good, get that.

When you get your laser module (with diode inside and all), just remove the back metal part, it doesn't do anything anyway, just gets in the way.

So just use the part of the module that actually holds the diode and the lens.

(I am assuming here you want to order the diode in the module, and not just a bare diode)

The PL520 comes bare. I'm still not sure how to put it in the module though. Also I'm not using a lens. Should I? And I am getting the Silver with Focus ring for 3.8mm diodes. Its on survival laser. How do I fit that in the C6.

Oh boy.

You're buying from here, yes?
https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/pl520-520nm-laser-diode

DO NOT buy the first option which is bare diode.

Buy:
520nm Osram PL520 Diode In Copper Module W/Leads &
Acrylic Lens
$46

Then you will get the diode in the module already.

Module holds your diode and lens together. You cannot make a laser without that.

Ok got it. My final items are
6 RCR123A 3.2V 750mAh LiFePO4 Rechargeable Batteries with a Smart Charger,
520nm Osram PL520 Diode In Copper Module W/Leads & Acrylic Lens,
DIY C6 Host Assembly,
Eagle Pair® 190-540nm Standard Laser Safety Goggles,
Universal Warning Label,
Survival Laser Fixed Current Driver Survival Laser Fixed Current Driver set to 220MA,
Unanodized Aluminum Heat Sink.

Also what do you mean by the bottom of the diode. What do I take off of that to make it fit in the C6.

This could end badly and cost you money, go back to post #4 and read, then read here every day for about an hour a day for a month or so, especially build threads. Then order the parts, supplies, needed to build your laser. However there is nothing like learning by doing, if your feeling adventurous, go for it, but don't say I didn't warn you.

What is this 3.2V Lifepo BS? Please provide links to what you are buying and we can advise you better.

You make it all fit into the pill by going down to the bottom of this page. There you'll find a white bar you can type text into. In that bar type "C6 build" without the quotes. Your answer will appear down below the white bar.

Guys I have one more question! How do I make everything fit in the pill.

Like Pi R already said, you don't want to get LiFePO batteries, that's lithium polymer (IIRC), and while they can provide much larger discharge, they have far smaller capacities.

You need to search for "16340" batteries, those are exactly the same size, but Lithium Ion chemistry. This is what we normally use in our lasers.

Aside from that, it looks it's fine.

Your build will consist of taking the C6 host apart, removing the empty pill inside and installing the pill with the driver inside (second-last item on the list).

Then you need to setup your module and heatsink, solder the diode leads to the leads coming out of the driver, and finally assembling the head.

Insert batteries and lase 520nm.

Out of curiosity, why did you choose 80mW 520nm as your starter build? It's a relatively expensive diode, when 200mW red and 150mW bluray diodes can be found for $6-7 each.

Im using the pill it comes with, Also its a LiFePO battery because its rechargeable, if a lithium ion battery hits 0% its dead. Or so I have heard.

Well unless this would work
http://www.amazon.com/Card-Tenergy-Rechargeable-Protected-Batteries/dp/B002UEE7SU
Also I can't find the C6 build.
I will post my finished laser in Green Lasers once it is done.
Also I think I know how to remove the bottom of the module. Also where do you get the copper ring.
Also I need to get the same glasses in goggle form due to out of stock.
