Great guide, thanks for taking the time to write it. :)

Just one observation, in this part:-

"
GET YOUR LASERS LPM'd:
Now Laser Power Meters (LPM) are expensive but it is always advised to know your lasers true output. You cant tell a lasers power by the beam and if you think you can then read HERE and you'll see how wrong you are.
"

The text 'HERE' doesn't point to anything.

I'm new and mark me down as read..

Not too happy about reading no batteries purchased with lasers, because I did just that with Blords.. :(

With customs, from Belgium, is it US customs or Belgium's customs to worry about?

US customs. Blord is generally good with customs and i have one of his lasers so ill keep my fingers cross for you! It also depends on how the batteries are shipped. i know some companies (DHL i believe) allow people to ship batteries as long as they are inside the device during shipping. Ask Blord if he has ever had problems with US shipping and batteries, he'd know best but iirc he hasn't

I don't understand about the laser Classes exactly; maybe there are some non-laser-hobbyist-familiar examples of what would constitute each class?

Also I didn't understand about safety goggles. I have welding goggles. And a 10 dollar pair of safety goggles seems to be recommended above welding goggles? The guide states that my welding goggles won't protect my eyes? That doesn't make sense to me could the op go into more detail please?

What details are there? Its simple welding glasses arent designed to block laser light hence they wont do anything to protect you eyes. The name says it all; WELDING glasses not LASER glasses.

As far as laser classes, again, dont know how to explain it in any more detail. Its based on power output and thats black and white, there are no interpretations with that.

Also you have misread the $10 glasses statement. They are classified as "better than nothing" but they arent recommended unless thats all you can afford, but if thats all you can afford then you shouldnt buy a laser since lasers are expensive.
