Introduction:
If your on this forum quite often, you are probably aware that I am rather interested in purchasing a BR-205 Pioneer drive for its 12x diode. You would also know that quite recently (and unfortunately) my close to new SF-AW superfreak diode died in my IgorT laser.(at least I think the diode is the issue.) Just today I was finally able to nab 287$ through paypal back from a faulty server hosting company. This leaves me with enough money to purchase a cheap server to start off my game I have been working on, and the Pioneer drive for 205$ on ebay.
Originally I was either going to return the laser I own to Igor, or sell it to obtain money for a new laser host. I was also going to have the Pioneer sent to Scopeguy for diode harvesting, and then the diode sent to Igor. Igor would either then make me the new laser, or replace the old diode with the new one to produce a nice 12x for me.
Due to his unfortunate and unruly state, that of which we have no idea how long will last :cryyy:, he is most likely unable to perform sed actions...
Preposition:
I was curious if it was possible to have someone experienced with lasers to be able to replace my old diode with the pioneer 12x diode. I am not sure anyone is even aware of how the IgorT laser is manufactered, and if they would even bother to mess with it. If you think you have a good shot at being able to replace the diodes within, Please let me know! Also in general I will need the laser checked out to confirm that the issue is the DIODE, its possible some other part may just be malfunctioning. If you need to replace any other part besides the diode, let me know what that will cost.
*I am also willing to throw in a gratuity tip for your time well spent on the laser*
NOTICE: The lens is currently a plastic-glass lens, which will not be able to hold a 12x's power. So obviously I will need that replaced as well. Once again, let me know what my options are and what It will cost.
