Default Cheap reflective strip?

I'm looking for a cheap material to use for a strip of laser reflective mirror.

The object of my design is to have two parallel mirror surfaces that will bounce a laser beam back and fourth. The beam "grid" will be around 5'x5' with beam spacings of 1". If you haven't already guessed, this is gonna be a sensor that will detect an object >1" wide moving through it. As long as the beam makes it to the end of the grid without excessive distortion it will be fine, a simple light sensor is on the other end.

I've tried mylar but it's terrible after the first reflection. I have a polished steel credit card case that works great but I'm lost on where to find a long strip of the material. I'm thinking of trying out some "mirror tapes" but I fear I'll run into distortion much like mylar.

Grab some old flatbed scanners, they have nice long, high quality first surface mirrors in them.

Unfortunately I would have to get a hold of quite a few for the ~20' total length I need (2 sensors 5'x5' each)

Looks like I found somethin, perhaps it will be of some use to someone else.

Otherwise, I'm still open to suggestions

5ft x 5ft? Maybe mylar reflective film? It won't be like a flat mirror, but will be reflective. Otherwise, you should look into surplus mirrors or reflective acrylic sheets or something -- not especially cheap, but at those sizes it's about as good as it'll get.
