Do you mean a cat like my gray one?
I believe he jumps 3-4 feet average, you can't see but in that same spot theres an old shoe lace hanging from the ceiling and he'll jump at that a couple times a day, the one doesn't jump...he play fetch.

When I was at my friends place a while back I gave him a 1mW red pointer and he let his cats chase the dot. One time he made circles around the cat and the cat kept turing around to keep up. Then he stopped, and the cat was so dizzy from rotating that he had to take a few sidesteps to keep his balance or he would fall over. That was really nice.

My cats love lasers. I have four cats, so they all take turns tearing around after the dot.
Actually, they like the beams even better than the dot, but I don't let them play with those lasers due to being too powerful.

My dog goes nutts it's a 95lb blue pit but he moves like a 15lb cat lol. I think he is the only person in my life that likes lasers more then I do !!!!!!!

Lol. Wait till he sees your new 640nm and 405nm lasers once they arrive to you (after I can ship them....Damn USPS holiday weekend
). Interesting fact: My cats like 532nm over any of the other wavelengths. Put a red or violet in front of them and they chase the dot. But pull out the green and they go wild! lol

I've noticed that my youngest cat likes 650nm, my partners cat likes 405nm and my oldest cat likes 532nm :crackup:
Maybe they see the colours differently? I've never understood it... But I can't wait till I have 635 and 445 to play with too...
Then again my youngest cat fires lasers

If I can ever have the camera ready I'll try to get a shot of my older cat stretching up to swat at the beam, of a 445 or the 532.

405-445nm isn't safe for cats or people, also the 532nm needs to be 5mW or less and have a IR filter. Cats eyes are many times more sensitive than ours.

I can't guess how many cats have been tortured by laser pointers, I bet you could setup a whole website full of movies of animals being hassled by laser pointers - hey , now there's an idea :shhh:
