This explains my question very well:

How does the other end of the battery contacts the driver? The driver has only one contact with the battery, and two with the LD.

I might have drawn the negative and positive of the battery oppsite but you know what I mean.

And also, if I get a host with NO contact board (because the driver I'm using already has a contact board), how do I connect the driver with the driver pill?

I was stuck on this myself when I was new. The case is actually the missing link, the driver should have a metal ring or pad on the edge which contacts with the inner side of the host, so the negative current goes from the tailcap to the driver cia the host and then goes to the LD. When doing a custom build inside a flashlight, you will either need to use the pill or have a pad (copper foil tape) on the edge of a pcb (the plastic from a dvd disk cut to fit works well) and then solder a wire from there to the battery input.
