c-cell lithium batteries

has anyone seen c-cell lithium batteries? I haven't.

Also, there are AA to C cell adaptors (for sale on CPF). Has anyone tried to use them with AA lithium batteries in a high powered laser?? Any thoughts on this??

Actually in CPF, AW sells Li-Ion C Cells. Not sure if thats the one you're looking for though.

the ones I was thinking of would just bulk up the AA to C (battery augmentation?? maybe I should ask a plastic surgeon) I would only be using 2 cells at any given time.

Power should go up but run-time will drop.

Looks like the UK ones you linked should do the same thing

I think you could be right about the runtime for the size off AA's but hey it's all about the kick especially if your on a long distance balloon marathon (ie 30-50 balloons) :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

Not sure how well its regulated, but the Aries SHOULD be regulated enough that the E2 batts have next to no effect on output. You can increase your lifetime a good bit though by putting a few sets of two in parallel if you get the chance.

You're probably right about the regulation (I hope not), but I've seen my Aries 225 top out over 280mW with fresh alkaline batteries. Batteries do have a profound impact on its output.

I think AW's Li-Ion cells are higher voltage and a bit longer. I'm not going to try that one yet since I am sill under warranty and don't want to mess too much with a good thing. Regarding the length issue - the Aries has very fine threads on the tailcap and a battery just a bit too long means it won't thread properly.
