I want a laser that will go far and burn things. I was looking at these 2 and i was wondering which one was better. I like the o-Like one but they don't accept paypal. Would the first one be a good laser? Are AAA Batteries good for burning things or does it need to be a more powerful battery like the one below? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum, don't forget to use the search button, it's your best friend ;)

Anything above 50-75 mW should be able to burn, what do you have in mind? Matches? Black balloons? Electrical tape? Lazerer and O-like are decent companies, but shipping from China will take a bit of time, if you are okay with waiting a few weeks.

Look around on the forums for reviews of other companies if you choose to buy from them, some companies will con you out of money and sell underspec (weaker) lasers for higher prices.
What do you mean by "go far"? How far were you planning? Divergence on lasers will cause the dot to become larger and more spread out.

Also, if you read your first link, they talk about how that can be used for "presentations, camping" without any mention of the danger to your eyes. Makes me wonder about the legitimacy of that company

Cheers,
John

I just bought a cheaper 100mW red laser from O-Like last night, and had no problem paying with Paypal. I just clicked the pay or purchase button after deciding which laser I wanted, and it sent me right to Paypal, and I paid from there, so it is linked as of last night.

It seems to be a recurring problem at O-like. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Do you know where they're located?

Be careful when getting fully assembled lasers from China, you risk a chance of custom confiscation. Just saying.

I would say that. Having ordered from DX, o-like, rayfoss, and plenty others multiple times without a single hiccup. And you RARELY ever here people from the US on LPF complaining about getting their laser confiscated. UNLESS of course it is from Wicked. Other than that not too big of a deal.

Dx and Wicked Lasers are sketchy anyways, you don't want any lasers from them. They are garbage.

And if DX doesn't ship to the US anymore, they shouldn't get confiscated LOL
