Default Building a laser pointer in Australia

So for about a year I had a Wicked Lasers Spyder 2W... it was a great laser while it worked, but it stopped working all of a sudden. I sent it for repairs but it was seized on the way back by Australian customs There was pretty much nothing I can do about it, and I've pretty much given up on Wicked Lasers completely.

However, I'm currently laser-less, which is killing me! I want to obtain another laser pointer, but I'm paranoid about trying to import another laser - the form served by customs wasn't very nice, and I'd like to avoid another one.

So my question is, can anyone recommend some instructions for building a laser pointer using individual components (since these are legal to import to Australia)? If possible, I'd like to build a laser that's at least 30-50mW (enough to see the beam if pointed the night sky), any colour with a slight preference for green, and if possible, built using components from Australian-based companies like Laser Components Australia, to reduce risk of seizure.

Thanks so much for any help you can offer!

This story seems awfully familiar

Edit: by sunday/monday ill have some pointer housings for 18650 batteries that are really easy to assemble if you have a 13mm module with spring attached.

If you do a search here, you can find instructions on building survival laser hosts. Pretty easy, only have to solder a couple wires. You can purchase modules (diode/module/and lens) ready to install from DTR. If ya run into any problems ordering parts after you do a little research, Just post a question here and someone will help
