Some encouraging news, that just broke today -

Soraa hits:
- 100mW with their 516nm GREEN diodes
- 500mW with their Single-Mode BLUE diodes
- 1400mW with their Multi-Mode BLUE diodes

I'm excited about the singlemode blue and 516. Are the other diodes (1.4w blue) any better than what we have?
EDIT: 125 mA? hmm... maybe we can run these the same we run PHR diodes? EDIT: nevermind, misread.

how expensive would a 516nm green diode be?
and correct me if im wrong but with green lasers, dont they use crystals to turn IR into green light, so is this a diode or no? eg http://www.laser66.com/html/diode big.jpg

Instead of using crystals these new diodes produce the green light directly from the die.
