Hey Pontiac,

I know you're in the US but another UK volunteer here.

I have the necessary equipment to test optical, electrical and surface heat outputs. And, being somewhat of picky engineer will give an opinion on general improvements, (I saw one from the photos that I would suggest but didn't want to mention it as it's your baby).

Got enough 445s here to punish one. I also have good camera skills with my Canon 30D, (sorry Asherz, couldn't resist!), with macro lenses and flashes, (I think you may have seen some of my general shots in the multimedia section from a UK laser meet)

I've just finished a scratch built 8x in a small host that will be posted later to show my building and other photo skills.

Good luck to all, (but most to me! :na: )

:)

Your going to need that luck! I've already picked!

I would like to hear your suggestion though, I think I know what you are talking about though!

If everything goes well, this will hopefully be the last test before I put them on the market. I'm still undecided as to what to do with the finish though, but I am looking at a triple chrome plating system :eg:

I'll have a look at the thread again and pick out the pic and PM you. It would be nice if it was what you were thinking!

Just a suggestion, if you want to get a good handle on heat dissipated I would send out the matt finish. Non contact IR thermometers don't like highly reflective surfaces and it's difficult to get dead on accurate readings.

And when you come to the next round of testing ;) , here's the link to photos I should've posted above, and the newly finished build I mentioned before is also now up.

Call me about this host. CALL ME. SEE YOUR PM'S.
What do you want me to do? I can build a 445 into this quickly but we need to talk.
The housing is super and the machine work is great.

Just to start, the host appears well machined and well buffed with aluminum material. It has a side switch button with interior switch, mounting and spring.

Pontiac -- Call me now about this --- Just do it........
Check your PM's -- All of them.

Pontiac ---
It's been two days since we contacted here. I've sent a bunch of PM's with my phone number and no call -- only a PM that you are going to bed.
Send me your address and I'll return this housing to you. I'm available about 14 hours a day and we can't get together.
The forum has shown you currently active for hours and you don't bother to call.

How much will they cost?
My 445 needs some host, and this one is cool.

What batteries does it use?
