OEM goggles aren't that much. 80$ for the ARG, eagle pair is 45$. Worth the upgrade in my opinion.

I know money can be an issue, but how much are peace of mind, and your eyes worth?

Missing the extremely important 808nm IR filter... I already looked at those.

Phatlight build (lots of ideas, but not much progress yet)
532nm "200mw" lab module (to replace the recently-deceased
(accidentally fried) "200mw" bare module)

G-2 lens upgrade & a new spare set of
higher-quality rechargeable batteries for my Survival Laser I

Like being able to see? Buy some quality safety glasses!
Here's what I own and use for my collection:
Eagle Pair 190nm–540nm @ OD4
Eagle Pair (EP-1 S2) 190nm–540nm @ OD4 + 800nm–2000nm @ OD2

Double post! Oh noes!

Anyways, I heard back from the guy selling EP-1's (http://www.bj-jjhy.com/english/LaserGlasses.html), and he's asking 48USD+25USD(shipping)=73USD O_O.

Although OEM goggles would be 2x-3x the price...

Laser Glasses - UV to Green Lasers Protection 190-548nm :: Laser Safety :: Dragon Lasers

Dragonlasers goggles are also pretty good imo, and cheap

These also cover 808nm:
Flex Seal Laser Safety Goggles, Argon/NdGa:YAG, 14% VLT, Polycarbonate
I've used this one at my university for the femtosecond and it's green pump laser.
Laser Safety glasses, MILAN, YAG/KTP, F102
I actually have this one in the LOTG style, it's a bit dark.
