Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum, but have done a spot of homework on lasers. I haven't bought one myself, but hopefully getting there soon but I have some questions.
What are the differences between major differences between blue, green, and red lasers?
I'm looking for an average laser with decent pricing in the 500mw-1000mw output range, with a c. $100 pricing.
I'm looking to not only do some stargazing and bore-sighting with it, but possibly some stupid stuff too, like lighting fireworks from a distance or starting large dangerous fires  jk
but in all seriousness, I am looking for a somewhat versatile laser. What are your suggestions/ tips on these matters?
I saw this awesome laser for sale from Garoq: http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/1...ser-packages-only-139-shipped-us-63186-2.html
at a deal and was thinking that this laser would be a suitable first.

I would stick with one of these first.

1W lasers are no joke, and a bad idea for a first laser. You have to be diligent with safety, protecting yourself, and others from getting burned, or blinded.

Whatever laser you choose make sure to get proper goggles, because you only have 2 eyes, and these lasers can blind you before you blink.

Sounds right. Of course I would be very care ful safety, always wearing goggles. A 250mw laser would make more sense for a first laser, thanks.
