Ok, so, I was digging through some old stuff of mine and I found a small laser pointer that my dad got for me when I was little.  Got me thinking I wanted another.  I surfed the web and found this site and man, learned a lot of things I didn't know, and still have things to learn.  Ok, now to the point of this thread, I know i don't have what it takes YET to build my own laser, so, I was curious on what laser I should buy.  I kind of just want a laser that is portable, and can burn  ;D.  So I guess, any advice on a laser i should get that can burn, and whatever safety items that are necessary/recommended?  Oh, and, like most, I'd rather it not be too expensive, but, I'll see what you guys think.  As for beam color, I don't care too much, I'll leave that up to you.  Thanks guys.

Here ya go!  Remember, always wear goggles when burning, and I would suggest getting two pairs of goggles; one for you, and one for whoever else is viewing.

EDIT: This is the cheapest solution. Check the Buy/Sell/Trade category for other alternatives. Blu-rays are tons of fun, and greens have the brightest beam. Remember to get the proper goggles for the proper wavelength.

Thanks, exactly the type of info I was looking for. Any other opinions are appreciated. I think I'm gonna get it in around a month cause, thanks to college, I'm gonna have 4 months free in a month.
