i did some googling but could not find the answer here or on google.

if a laser was made for (2) 14500 lit-ion batteries, could you use 2 AA batteries ??

i understand that the volt is less in a AA battery vs the lit-ion battery.

thanks

No. 2 Li-Ion batteries are a total of 8.4V at full charge, 2 AA's are only 3V.

cool thanks that is a big difference. would the laser even work at 3v vs 8.4?

also the li-ion batterys are 3.7v so would that not be a total of 7.4v you mean?

thanks for the quick response

3.7V is their nominal voltage. Their fully charged voltage is around 4.2V.

Very unlikely it'll work on 3V instead.
