aixis laser diode

hello i have recieved an aixis 200mw laser diode its got 3 pins and i have tested them with my multi meter on the diode setting and i dont get a reading acros any pins so i carnt work out wich is posotive and wich is negative has anyone got any sugestions please

iv just found out by risking it with 2 aa's and it worked

I can only say that you may be lucky and find it still works when you connect it to a proper circuit, may I direct you to the very first post, big red lettering, on this thread?

i know i used batteries that where drained and red 2.7v on my multimeter and only tuched the ld terminals for 1 second to test the polarity
