A23 Batteries

I recently found these 12v bastards at my hobby shop. I was wondering if they'd be useful in laser builds or not?

A23 batteries are constructed of 8 individual LR932 alkaline button cells enclosed in a wrapper. The cells may be separated and used individually by removing the outer case. [2

They're useless for anything that has alot of power, but if you break it open they can be a cheap source of 3 batteries for keychain pointers.
