Hello everybody!

This is my first time posting here on this forum.

i'm building a cnc machine for making PCB's. i built one for my cousin for wood milling and i also used it for making pcb's but im sick of millnig and replacing milling bits in the middle of a job. so i made my own cnc machine and i was thinking of putting a laser on it. i know about the power level that i would need to burn the copper but i was thinking of another approach.
Painting the PCB with black acrylic paint and then burning the paint off and ofcourse etching the pcb in the end :)
i have been digging throug ebay for a laser but i don't know what power level i need so i fount a TO-3 5W 808nm (IR) laser that coul do the job but i don't know what kind of lens do i need for focusing? and what does Divergence 8*8 mean? and can a camera objective be used to focus the beam to a small spot? i was fooling around with one and a laser pointer without an internal lens and the result was wery good :)
This is the diode:

and let's do no forget about safety!!! are these glasses soutable for protection at 5W power levels?

Thank you for any help! And sorry for my english :)

I could be completely wrong but I think more people us something closer to 15-30W in a CO2 Laser setup. But I could be off there, 5W just doesn't seem like enough for what you want to do.
