Well the weather wasnt the best this year for the 4th down in Florida. The wind was too much to light lighters and even butane torches. Lucky for me I brought my 3W 450 and some safety glasses. Was able to ignite those ember firework lighters and save the night. My friends now see a use for my hobby!

Use mine to light fires up north during the cold months.....no need to take gloves off and get on my knees in the snow to light a fire outside........photon-presto magic!!!!!

When I told them I could just light the stick with a laser they laughed snd continued to huddle in a gay frenzie to block the wind and attempt go get the lighter going. I snatched the stick and within seconds handed it back to them burning.

Win for lasers.

Id also like to say I was wearing safety glasses and turned my body to block all direct light from any observers.

I met my first LPF member on the beach in Ft Myers on the 4th... Forum member Cheech whom I had talked to much earlier in the year on the phone about checking out some beamz over my pad.

I crossed some random 532nm beam path as well as parting the night with a heavily overdriven M-140 up walks this unshaven fella that says " you built those our JUST bought them" I knew right away it had to be one of two guys here and low and behold it was him. Showed him his 1st 638nm and 594nm good times, good times.

Congratulations on your new addition to the family as well Cheech. -Josh
