I'm thinking with the right series resistor and limiting the voltage to the ZVS with a DC to DC limiting driver I can find a safe working range for the tube, I just don't know how much the resistance of the tube might change as it warms up, I will have to measure and see, only unlike a semiconductor laser diode the threshold for a gas laser is higher than normal running voltage.

But it may well be acting as it's own series resistor, 26.2 into the ZVS may be all is needed, lucky match up of parts....works for me.
I will get running current measurements once I get a tube, rapbbit says it's only a little warm after 10 min and the 30v pack only has a 7A draw that includes his pump and 532's, 532's hardly count so maybe 180 watts in for 40 watts out and the tube is likely the bulk of the waste heat, so far I am impressed how cool the ZVS mosfets run while drawing lots of fun arcs from the flyback.

I would like to buy an identical tube, but this site is in Chinese, and it appears you need to make an account.

We know people buy from China in bulk wait 4-6 weeks and resell here for a 200-1000% markup....China is amazing, their own market is exploding, the US market is going to become secondary.

BTW have you heard the news about the Yuan, it's now one of the worlds default currencies.

50 lane traffic jams that last 4 - 12 days, their economy is exploding, in a good way....for them. WOW just wow.

Don't forget they are going to build the worlds largest super collider and are right now looking for helium 3 on the moon.

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing mankind forge ahead, I just lament how much the US has wasted, how fast we are and will fall behind.
Sorry for deviating from the topic.
