35MM CU Modules/DTR

I am still carrying the 35mm lense out of the utilitech around looking for viable hosts for these modules. Easily over 5 mins without so much as a noticable temperature change. Albeit I'm underdriving the diode at 1.7 amps(Forgot to order 2.4 amp driver) gonna order one tomorrow. I love these modules and will use them on alot of my future builds. So heavy, makes the host feel very substantial.

Yep these modules are awesome, even more satisfaction making them fit in the host you want, I've been waiting 2 weeks for a 4.5a boost driver for my NUBMO6 build, I've build another 9mm build while waiting, this Led Lennser turned out awesome.

I had ordered a diode to build a friend something earlier and completely forgot to get one of these. Just ordered before I forget again so I'll have one to play with.
My understanding is the back half is actually aluminum. Would be nice if there was an option for an all copper back half. Kind of surprised it isn't offered to begin with. Wouldn't any of you be interested in that?

? Then why does he say that the back half is aluminum? He must have meant the regular ones in the pic above. It's confusing as the regular ones are not "new" as it says in the description. Take a look and you will see why it is confusing. Even in the left pic it looks like it's copper plating coming off of aluminum. The description is right under the 35mm ones too.
Also regardless of whether I look at his pages with mobe or desktop on my phone parts are cutoff to the right. Looks normal on my regular dsektop though. Annoying on my phone and my Note 4 has a pretty big screen.

Yeah, it is confusing, the aluminum back halves are for drivers soldered directly to diodes I assume (in the 12 mm ones)

Found and ordered another flashlight that I'm hoping will work with these 35mm modules. I'm excited about this one as it holds 2 18650s and has decent size fins for cooling. I'm thinking nubm44 on this one. Looking at the batteries compaired to the head looks to be a really close match. Fingers crossed. (Also, the batteries are side by side)

Hi DTR,

Your new Cu modules are really amazing!

Could you please do a simple heatsink based on this 6oz copper cylinder with exactly 12mm hole (like in 510 heatsinks) instead of all threads and LD mount for those of us who already bought diodes in 12mm modules from you?
I would do it myself if I had a drill precise enough with zero spread but I do not have.

Or could someone in the forum do this?

If I were you, I would use flaminpyro's 9mm diode out-press and replace them in 35mm cu modules.
DTR May do this for a fee or possibly free.

Hopefully he will have 20mm and 25mm copper modules within a week or two for 9mm diodes, this will be awesome just buy some more diodes!
