Hey Lifetime17
If your led Lenser is similar to mine I got the heatsink off no damage,
Just heat up the inside of the barrel with, I use small butane torch and find a tool that will fit the holes on the sink and you should be good!

This pill is perfect to fit a small driver in just perfect!

Ready for a module, wish I had a 26650, think one might fit in this utilitech. 18650 Def. does. Got to pick out a 9mm diode for it. Scratched the head a little trying to get it apart. It is def. 2-3 pieces screwed together with epoxy, would be nice if it came apart so the module could slide in from the back. Even tried baking it lol, no luck. The scratches arent too bad and if i really like it, I'll get a new one.

I have a question for anyone with a cree mx host as I haven't received mine as of yet. I noticed that Rick trents heatsink for this host is 35mm, is it possible to use the 35mm module in it easily?

(Gettin ready to order a module or two)

Good question i'll try it tonight I have 8 XM900 heatsinks and 2 hosts and 2 coming tomorrow . Nice ...

It tapers, you could use a sleeve, but the head is tapered inside.
If you cut a disc 8.5 mm thick by 43mm wide that will sandwich in the MX-900 head under the screw down bezel, then you can attach anything you want. like a sleeve 38mm OD and 35mm ID or have that milled like an open top closed bottom top hat, with a hole in the bottom for wires.

Hi VV,
No the 35mm will not fit in the mag light, i build mag kites and the mag lite sink dwarfs the 35mm sink. No comparison in mass of the two
