Just went to Radio Shack for some things and found they are selling exterior "yard" lasers. The specs say they are 5mw and they have a star cap type lens. Each dot is at least as strong as my 303 green ebay laser. Imo it's 200 mw at least. If I had an lpm, I would purchase one and meter it. Green was the only color on display but they also have red and blue. They go for $70. If someone here buys one and does some testing I hope they post thier results.

No, these are different and single frequency. Haven't seen the ones you linked to before either. I really want to tear into one of the ones Radio Shack sales.

Hmm, interesting. However, I highly doubt they're 200 mW, those cheap mass produced modules do a MAX of around 160mW. And that's with like, extreme overpower. Wouldn't last. The 303s are around 80-90mW best I believe.

Yeah, I'm just quessing, seems pretty strong, I think everything they sale is from china, wouldn't be suprised if they were mislabled for importing purposes.

Yup, that's it. Do you know if anyone experimenting on these?

I don't know of anyone playing with these. Those "Star Shower" units in my first link have been around for a while now; they are popular around the Christmas holidays.

Edit: Here is a link to a thread about these lights from last year.

What's an 'exterior yard laser'? Are you talking about those little little projector bulb things that screw on to the side of buildings and make little diffracted dots?

You mean to tell me I bought a $500 power meter when I could have just asked your opinion? Wow, I really wasted my money, didn't I.

Seriously though. Please read the stickies. Your opinion (as well as anyone else using only their eyes to measure power) has an error margin so obscenely high, it is useless.

Imo, what you have wasted is your life sitting in front of your c omputer on point, waiting on a chance to prove how intelligent you are.
No proof needed here, I can read, I know your a smart guy.

To be fair, he's not wrong, attempting to judge power by sight alone is pointless. I know he comes across harsh/mean sometimes - I think that's just how he is though - was always that way here as far back as I can remember. I wouldn't take any offence, you'll learn to love it eventually... :shhh:
