You probably should have a laser. First off its not a vissable wavelength to a degree. The faint red dot you see has more power than you realize so it wont triger your blink reflex. You shouldnt be point any laser of any power at your eyes. Nor should you be trying to burn yourself.

You can find the answers to your questions in the "Safety & Legal issues" section found here:

Safety & Legal Issues - Laser Pointers

You may also want to read this section as well:

A 1.5w laser is no toy, please read through the various section of this site and make sure you have the correct safety measures in place before you activate your project. Trust me you will be glad you didn't just start playing with a 1.5w laser without being informed. Enjoy your project.

Hi thanks for giving my the links i'm new to the forms and laser making.I looked through allot of the threads and seeing what lasers can do to you i'm definitely going to get a pair of safety glasses and try not to make mistakes that other people made and i guess another thing i learned from looking at the threads is to use common sense lol
