What is possible - Arctic Mod

Hi guys ,
I know the subject has been somewhat covered before and I have seen some great things happen on these forums , but I did not want to necro old threads ...

Is anybody still modding Artics ? My idea would be to buy one , and ship it to a trusted builder here , have it fitted with a focusing cone ( if possible) and get the power boosted up to 1.5 - 2W ...

I would also like it to retain as many features as possible .. Ie battery meter , smart switch ... ability to accept lens filters for special effects and switching between high and low power and still support the 5 modes of operation currently advertised ...

I would plan on covering expediencies as well as making up for the Modders time ...

On the other hand if this is a terrible idea , I can always go th eroute of just geeting one of you to build me a 2W+ from scratch ...

It would be better to get someone to make you a 2W+ from scratch. Modding an arctic would take more time and money than it would be worth.

Personally I'd like to make myself a modded arctic, except making 1W 405nm... gotta wait for those diodes to exist sadly. It's the host that they use that is probably keeping me interested, possibly the OP as well.

However... if you're looking for more power the above post is the best deal.
