I have a 20 dollar red laser pointer that I got from office max. I've heard alot about pot mods and other modifications but will they work on this laser?
:-?
Does anybody know how to take it apart?
I have the cap off but I don't know how to remove the Circuit board and all that stuff without braking it?

a little help needed! :'(

many/most red lasers aren't "pot moddable" I think any mod you do may to involve changing the diode itself to get more power...

Yep, Steve is correct, the output on pretty much all reds is a direct ratio to how much voltage you input, most reds are directly wired to the battery, with maybe a small resistor in series and don't have any kind of overdrive protection.

The pulsar from wicked will blow if you use Lithiums in it (3.4V) , yet my lil 10mw 635nm red will happily take 3.6V

I am afraid with reds , it's pretty much trial and error, so if this is the start of a hobby, expect to blow a diode or two ;)

Have fun.
