I would if it is epoxied in there and you din't care about the driver thats already in there you could try and drill it out, unless I'm not understanding you correctly.

It can be done. But you will need to find a module that is the same dimensions as the original module. And you will no longer have an LED activation indicator unless you install one with the new module.

I don't know why you would want to drill it out and waste a perfectly good laser module. Perhaps you can find a more creative way to extract it. The original E2s (Evolution Pro, they were called) were not difficult to disassemble at all. I recommend pulling, not pushing.

I removed the module by pulling it out from the front.
If you can carefully pop out the plastic black ring covering the module, you should see that the lens is mounted on a brass or aluminum plate that is threaded into an aluminum tube.

If you have anything that matches the threads, you can screw it in and pull the whole thing out with a vice.

You can probably also push the module out. Once again, remove the black ring from the front. You can use the back of an aixiz module (or another 12mm metal tube) and push it down. It should pop out through the battery tube.
