Question about the method to "slowly kill" your LD

Hey guys, I remember someone told me that if I buy a cap. and some 10 ohm resistors i can slowly kill my LD with a minimag

Well, I went to radioshack and got

0.1UF Polyester Film Cap(2)
0.001 UF Ceremic Disk Cap(2)
10-Ohm 1/4 watt 5% tolerance(5)
10-Ohm 1/2 watt 5% tolerance(5)

I didnt know which resistor to buy, 1/4 watt, or 1/2 watt, so I bought both.

Then, I remmered somone say 0.001 UF cap, and .1 cap

Which items do I use?

0.001 UF Ceremic Disk Cap(2) = trash

10-Ohm 1/4 watt 5% tolerance(5)
10-Ohm 1/2 watt 5% tolerance(5) = wrap 2 together.

conclusion;
dont use minimag & use 2 10ohm resistors wrapped. (if you want to be nice to SenKat, dont use a resistor at all )

Whats the diffrence between ceremic disk cap, and film cap?

I saw a disk .1 uf, and a film .1 uf

didnt know which to get, so i grabbed the cheaper, film one.

for the most part youll be fine with most any types; however electrolytic caps have been used with 100% success rate.
