So i like got this new projector that has just recently been released KIDDING!

I bought a green and blue Phatlight from here:

Green
Blue

Then i bought 3x Red Phatlights from DTR

Then i removed 2x of the red LED's from the projector housing and installed a blue and a green into each :)

Note: Im running the blue and green connected in parallel together because there Vf is similar, the red's Vf is too low when its in parallel with the Green and Blue and they don't produce light, only the red.)

See them here:

And yes R2D2 going off his head is my ringtone :)

Very nice! Those could make some nice outdoor accent lighting for the side of your airplane hangar. ;)

Do the spots put in one place make a nice white light?

Haven't tried that yet, i have to find a way to drive the red at a lower voltage than the green and blue to get them all going at the same time!

Try adding some diodes like the ones used in test loads... Although, they would have to be rated up to around 10amps :D

if i run say 2 diodes in parallel that should drop the voltage and split the current up over the 2 diodes yeh?

as far as I know, it wont affect the current, only the voltage

i would think cause its in parrallel, you've provided another branch for current to run down, halving the current of the led across each diode, i imagine the diodes drop out voltage will have to be spot on to perfectly split it tho!
