Senkat told me to check out these little 'Task Force' lights at Lowe's. They come in red, and blue as well...

Here's the light that can be found at Lowe's: http://ledmuseum.candlepower.us/ninth/tf1w.htm
* It runs off of a single AA battery, so a 14500 with a FlexDrive makes a perfect combination for a red or a blu-ray build. ;)
* It will fit an AixiZ or a Meredith module.
* The silicone 'dust caps' fit right in there perfectly too...

I had to do some similar modifications that I do on the 'Pocket Mini' host. The FlexDrive has to be 'trimmed' as well. Here's the pictures...

It finishes flush at the front. The lens is slightly recessed, and the host can stand on it's head...

Very nice host that comes with a quality nylon holster. I like that it is available in different colors, and I especially like the metal tail button clicky!

Good find Greg! :)

HOLY COW YOU WORK FAST ! :D I was going to send you mine, in case you hadn't had time to visit Lowes yet - DOH ! Very nice work (per the usual !) and although I most likely don't have a chance of being able to duplicate your efforts, I am glad it turned out so nice looking ! You continually surprise me - I'll make sure to pass along any other dieas I might have, but don't have the skills (or tools) to create

It's really a great host Greg! Thanks for putting me on to them...

I wish it was an easier mod, so that most people could just buy the heatsink. But they still could... It's just some extra work on the inside.

The main thing, is that it has a plastic lens that is glued in place. I ended up just drilling it out of the way. Then, as shown in the pictures, I 'dressed' it up a little with the bevel...

But it's a very solid, well constructed host!

Very nice work. I especially like the beveled look to the heatsink so that the lens is recessed. Very nice indeed.

Thanks guys! :)

Just to mention that the heatsink is actually just flat at the face. But the bevel is on the inside of the 'hexagon shaped final ring' of the host. Guess I'll have to get a blue one so I can make a matching blu-ray...
