my idiot friend bought a dx 50mw off ebay and as expected it was crap. now he wants me to mod it but there is not pot on the little bugger( so he says)

can any one tell me how to make it less crap for him?

You can't really mod it without it probably breaking it. Some people put 4.5 volts in to it but that will probably fry it.

you can't pot mod it but you can put one more batterie ,that will shorten its life
