Yes, the beam is night time visible, but you need to be looking at the beam from behind or in front within about 3 feet from it, if behind and about a 15 degree or less viewing angle. At 90 degrees, it is not seen in dry dust free air from ten feet away even in a very dark night. To see a beam in dark places at 90 degerrs and a few dozen feet away, try using >45 mW, or wait for fog.
Street lights are challenging with under 40 mW, but distance and other factors are involved. The sensor is on top of the lights, so near enough and above it helps a lot.

Incorrect: Novalasers and Laserglow are both located in Toronto, Canada.

However, the likelihood of Customs inspecting your shipment is small, and Nova has a delivery guarantee. Laserglow only sells FDA-approved products, so even if Customs checks your package it will clear inspection. We've actually sold to the FDA-CDRH, so they know who we are and that our products are kosher.

I turned off streetlights with a 5mW red.
And a flashlight.

A 5mW green can do it.
