I reckon it will be pretty cool to focus your laser without physically moving a lens. You could even hook em' up to a remote if your using them in a lab build.

what happens if you accidentally drop your laser and your lens dislodges and splashes on the diode?
Do you mean if the glass breaks? From the illustrations it appears entirely sealed between glass(?) layers.
I would love it in a handheld even if there is a risk.

Just want to mention if anyone locates that webcam I'll buy one from you.

Still waiting on mine to ship... I have another source though. If they decide to refund me, I'll grab one from the other source and let you all know if he will offer more.

As for the lens, they are fully sealed. Plus there really isn't that much water in there! Maybe 3-4 drops if that.
