Soem days ago... i had this badass idea.

How about using your high powered Showlaser, with a position-pointing able Software (like Pangolin should) to ignite fireworks arranged in the field of view - and this all while you are playing an show with music!
So the Basic ideas is shortly, that while doing a beam/graphic show, at some times the laser makes an standing beam pointing to a visco or someting.
Of course there has to be some timing to calulate so you set your effects of synced to the music.

I don't know how precise that Pangolin or whatever software is, but fuses are a very small target, and things just don't burn very quickly with lasers. If you did find a laser that would burn quickly, I'd be afraid that the reflections would be harmful to peoples' eyes.

An alternative use of fireworks and lasers is to use the more powerful lasers to light up the smoke that is left behind by the exploded fireworks.

I light fireworks with my laser if it is available. To do this from a distance away, however, would be very hard.

firework shows are fun...but it takes alot of preparation

Buy yourself a roll of nichrome wire from a hobby place, cut a strand, wrap it around the end of a black powder fuse...then alligator clip on a wire. ground one end to a 6V lantern battery terminal and wait for the night.

To fire, tap the appropriate wire on the positive terminal....and wo0t...

no lasers needed, but the resulting smoke gives a great incentive for many viewers to pull out their lasers.  ;D

A combination of that: use an electrical starter, but make it look like you lit up the fuse with the laser. Then you'll have the illusion of lighting it for the audience.
