i went for 1 and 6 because i think the heatsinks look cool. 8 would also be good, because its got a huge head.

just out of curiosity isn't 6 the host mohrenberg was using but the company stopped making them? looks similar

None of them ..... cause none of them have side switch (i'm sort of side switch maniac

Excluding this, maybe 1 and 2 ..... if they had a side switch, they was almost perfects

well if you want to pay extra i could mount a side switch...
only on number 2 as it has good amount of extra room.
but hey if you want it i will build it

I've never liked laser hosts that look like flashlights, so I'd say 4, 10, or 11, with 11 probably the preferred one because it would probably heat sink more without some gaudy thing on the tip.

Useful to know is that #1 could have a heatsink made that leaves the existing waterproofing intact, Or, by removing the glass inside you could have plenty of extra room to fit in two drivers if you want to parallel wire a couple of microboosts to hit high powers in 445. The glass is inside the head at the thickest part of the head of the flashlight. I snagged one of those hosts after wannaburnstuff linked to it on another thread.

While mine is black it's the same model.. I've already ordered a second to play around with, as while I took the glass out of the first one I snagged, I want to have a friggan waterproof laser (just add shark. some assembly required)

keep the votes coming but it looks like number 1 and 2 are going to win.
So i think its safe to say start making a logo.
Also bad news i wanted to start you guys off with a few of my own designs but my main rig died and i am rma my hd 4870 x2 graphics card.
So i am back to my T41 think pad......
So the size should not be all to big but enough like any other flashlight.
I wound not mind if they even had an LPF theme. Get permissions first tho.
I have a debate going on in my head.
Should i offer kits with heatsinks and drivers or just offer them as full built units...
I will start with full built units then if there is a good demand these will be opened up for diy.
So if you would like one of these built for you let me know know as i said i have number 2 and 11 on hand. i have 3 of number 2 and 5 of number 11.
So i can build a few now.
Cant wait to see some crazy ideas.
PS i don't mind if my name is in it to but not the whole thing kiyo (key-yo is phonetic spelling)

Well it is time to call it i think.
The 2 hosts i will be placing an order for are number 1 and 2.
I also have on hand number 11. expect lots of pics once the builds are ready to go.
Now to come up with names for these things.

I am really liking the heatsink of #2 cause of the access to fresh air that will let convection and conduction cool the heatsink. Also it is not too big!

Also, I am writing in for #10, I really like that as a long runtime large host.

so i still have no idea what to call these or any idea so i think for now they might just be blank or i might put something of my own in there.
im not sure.
I will be ordering a few of the hosts that are not number 1 and 2.
i will be re posting a picture with the number of stock i have and what i can make.
And we will see if we get any buyers.
Atm i have 5 number 11s and 3 number 2s.
So if you would like a build in one of those hosts let me know and i can have it done or out to you shortly.

#10 kiyoukan. After seeing what DTR did with it that is the flashlight host next on my list.

I mean 3 18650 batteries! 2 watt portable!

If you can get it for less than 100 dollars I'm in.

Remember they are empty hosts no leds no or optics or reflectors. just the hosts and i will try to get the battery holders.

Ah I see. Well... hmm.

When will the order take place do you think? If it can wait a few weeks then I would still buy it regardless of it just being the case and hopefully the battery holder.
