The color that comes out is green but dispersed. I tried to shine the light through some crystals that resemble the fluid and the crystal glows green
You obviously do not understand "Flourescence". I suggest reading the linked article there few posts up.

If it were possible, don't you think everybody would already be doing it, and there would be tutorials ?

Yes I understand flouresents but i was asking if I could, with mirrors and lava lamp fluid, slow the wavelength permadently

hi,

what about going down another avenue, ur green pointer is running around 563 terahertz and orange is around 490 terahertz, so maybe there is a harmonic frequency that could excite the green to output the colour u need, tho i expect being dpss it wouldnt work but a red diode may.

@dasraiser and how would I do that.....

Dose anyone her know where I can get an orange laser diode and any thing needed to make my own portable laser like cni sells

well im not really sure how u could do it, i was thinking that some sub harmonic may produce internal oscillations on the die and force the output  :tinfoil:

everything has its own resonant frequencies, items esp crystals/compounds can be forced to vibrate at some other, just look at PCAOM

was just an idea is all.

In very basic terms, here is what's going on. Green laser goes through fluid. Green photon hits fluid molecule, gets absorbed, and re-emitted at a random angle. This new photon is a different wavelength than the original green one, and isn't going in the same direction as all the rest of the green photons.

The green photons that don't hit any molecules keep going out the other side.

The liquid doesn't change the color of the photons, in this scenario.

You could buy some very expensive nonlinear optics and all that, but why not just start out with a diode laser like the rest of us? Much easier and you get the satisfaction of building something that works and isn't a rats nest of wires, glue, and random optics holders.

Something a bit more close to what you describe is a dye laser, but those are not easy to work with. Other than that, you can't get orange without paying much for it.

Seems to me that many of your question could be answered by some research!
Try the Search are on the forums here or Sam's lasers.
If you really wish to take on such an ambitious project as "making" your own diode, you should be researching on your own....and then...coming to others for more specific questions.
Just the question above shows how little you have read on DPSS or LD design.
Just wanted to add as Bluefan said...the Dye laser is a great experiment and cost very little to reproduce(it's on my list of projects)

I give up on making my own diode so dose anyone know were to buy a 615 nm laser diode for under $100

no. you will never find something 615nm for that cheap

the closest you will get is 635nm from aixiz and even then at low powers. you could try 589 etc but these are expensive and not a diode but a DPSS

1. No, you cannot practically make your own laser diode. It is an extremely delicate operation and needs to be done properly, not a weekend project.

2. You can't convert a lasers colour. The colour it outputs is what you are stuck with. The orange beam you see in the lava lamp is just fluorescence like everyone else has said.

PCAOM's don't change a lasers colour. Usually the lasers used with them output multiple wavelengths, the PCAOM acts as an adjustable prism, allowing certain wavelengths through.

Lasers don't run at terahertz, the power is measured in Milliwatts (mW) or Watts. The colour (wavelength) is measured in Micrometers (uM) and Nanometres (nM)

You can't buy an orange laser diode, they don't exist yet. Orange is produced by DPSS, which is an extremely delicate and inefficient process that is almost impossible to DIY.

You can get many laser diodes under $100.

445nm, 635nm, 640nm, 405nm, 650nm, 780nm, 808nm

Green diodes are still heavily under development and aren't yet available (For sane prices)

^Just to be clear, even the process that is on die4laser is NOT "making a diode". That page is simply soldering a diode to a package of some sort. Even when doing that, you're buying a diode and then mounting it, not making the diode. That process described is simply fancy soldering, nothing more, someone else had to make the diode.

And no, you can't make your own laser diode at home. Sorry.

Were did you get your lasers
