It's strange - but they don't actually look glossy to me? Is that just the lighting?

I'm not really familiar with what a glossy anodizing job would look like though.

I'm not really sure.
In some they do, like the edges.

I'm hoping it's just the camera or lighting.

I've been brainstorming for new focus adapter designs.

I've got an idea in mind for these focus adapters with closeable apertures.

Ideally, I would like to have a focus adapter similar to this, with a spring loaded aperture door that stay shut, and has a small knob that you slide over, and then you'd press it down to lock it into the open position.

I've got all the parts made out (in my head lol)

a single disk with lens threads in the center, and another set of thread on the outer diameter
On the top of this disk would be a milled slot where the flat aperture door would sit, with a spring behind it, maybe mill a deeper groove where the spring sits.
Along with a vertical drill hole where when you slide the aperture door back, you pres the knob down into this hole to lock it into position.

Then a separate piece that has the aperture hole, and inner threads that screw onto the top of that disk, keeping everything into place.

Though this top piece would need a milled slot where the aperture door handle would slide back and forth. Wonder how easily the chinese can make everything line up perfectly on these pieces so the milled slot is parallel with the aperture door.

If someone could make a focus adaptor that had an iris aperture as a closing design, I would probably be the happiest person ever.

Seconded.

Put me down for a couple as well. I hate having to clean off the dust after a laser is in my pocket:p

The ones in the pics will be. They should of shipped yesterday.

The shutter option is just an idea. Don't even have a prototype yet. I'll prob visit the local machinists for a prototype as it requires milling

Whatever the design, see if it can be smaller than just for the c6... obviously not as small as the aixiz focus ring, but still... would be nice to have something with a shutter for smaller builds too:)

Weeeee!!!

What is the od on those. I sure would like some focus adapters that are bigger around than what we typically have.

I like the looks of these.

they are the same as the old ones. 3/4" OD.

I've had all 500 of them sitting here for a few days now, just haven't gotten around to posting them. Been too busy with these boost orders and getting caught up from being out of state for the weekend.
