which of the two flux dispensors on this page is best?

rosin core, or just normal flux?

They're both rosin-based fluxes, but one's no-clean, meaning it doesn't need to be cleaned off the circuit after using it.  I'd go with that one.  The flux pens will make it simple to control putting the flux on, but I'd see if you could find a paste flux too, as it's useful when you need to apply some heavy flux.  I'm not sure what kind of store you have over there, but the local Radioshack in the US carries it.

Here's a Radioshack dealer in the UK that carries it:

You could probably find it elsewhere too.

I'm hoping it isn't plumber's flux, they use an acid flux that isn't good for electronics, it will damage your board.

yeah i use acid flux, it just needs to be wiped away after soldering with a damp cloth.
it works really well though, its good for soldering to batteries

i should probably get a pen to do boards properly
