i used solder on the in side and a very small piece of alluminum on the outside, i t helps alot

its not in the pict ill take a pict but i wasnt sure what was best to heatsink, brass or aluminum

Alluminum works fine for heatsinking - can you go into more detail on how you made the heatsink ? Did you use a lathe, etc ?

no i wish i had a lathe, i could afford 1/4 of a lathe if i wanted one, the heatsink is made from aluminum i turned them around a spare aixiz module then i glue the sides then i used my dads welder and welded it shut and then put it one the aixiz mudule

i do have acces to a lathe though at skool i just remembered i tak wood working class

can your please take some pictures of your internal setup?
im more of a visual learner. I have it soldered together but im having trouble putting it all in the housing.

djeeper all you do is attach a capacitor and resitor to the diode, take out the board and connect the spring on the positive and let the negative touch the barrel the nextone i make i will post picts cause i sold this
