Default This could be useful for beginners

Well I was browsing about looking at electronics stuff and I came across this and thought it could be useful to people starting out on DIYs or just for testing diodes, it's an LM317 based power supply capable of 1.5-35V at 1A . It comes pre-assembled . What do you guys / gals think ?

Yeah... for a Voltage Regulator that would be a good starter supply all you would need to do is supply
28 Volts AC to the board.

Be careful though most of the circuits we use for LDs that use the LM317 are set up as Current Regulators.
