I was wondering how much would people pay for a professionally designed and built blue ray diode driver with these specs,
3-9vdc
TTL
small package 1x1cm

i need to know becuase I am having one designed and may pull together a group buy. please tell me any extra features you might want.

I can make one for around $2 in parts, that is based on multi purchases of components from ebay.
Other that 10mf capacitors I have enough bits to make about 24 more of them so unless the deal is really good I will probably keep building mine as I need them.

Good luck with this though, there are a lot of people out there put off by the thought of building this sort of thing who may be very interested.

Rog and I are on the same page with the drivers we have built. They are simple and work very well...my blu-ray continues to amaze me.. :)

glowdye, by input down to 3v, does that mean your driver can drive a 5v voltage drop laserdiode with 3v input? i would like that!
else: adjustable current? some/any protection, like reverse-polarity, spikes in input?

atm i use flashlight-converterboards with some filtering and limiting behind. not too trustworthy, relatively big, unknown characteristics. but for now, it works, and comes free with the host.

but generally, i would definitely be interested!

curious about some more infos!
