Any1 successfully combine 405nm with 532nm?

Here's a pic of the beam color on one of the 6X retrofits, 48mW 532nm and 180mW 405nm (tested prior to optics) - The overall beam power (mixed) provides similar "cover" to an 80-90mW green

Ver interesting, where do they sell nice dichro's that are high quality? i've never bought one before, and i know you guys have em, so i figured i'd ask. ^_^ shoot me a PM if u got one, im also trying to achieve blue ^_^

Asking to get a color from this combo is pretty much a pointless question, depending on the power combos, you will get a different color.

On this chart, place a dot at the spots along the edge representing the wavelengh of the lasers, then connect the dots. If you have 2 lasers, you will get a line. Technically, you can create any color on the line by changing the power levels. If you want to find a specific power combo and where it lies on the line, find the ratio between the powers, measure the line length, then devide the line by the ratio you came up with, the point in the middle will be the color.

You mean the reflector right, the one that sends the beam down to the little lens that points at the optical disc?

I've found this component to be a very decent dichro to combine green (which passes more or less unaffected) with either bluray or red (both are very well reflected at 45 degree angle). The only thing it lacks is AR coating for 532, which loses a bit of the green - but thats mostly not the color you are short on when mixing anyway.

Its tricky to get it out of the PHR803 sled without chipping it though. I chipped the back of it so it only has a small useful area left for the green to enter... but it should be doable when carefully extracted.

A quick and dirty with 125mw of 405 and 5mw of 532 gives a lovely cyan. Interestingly, the colour is much more easily seen by those who are short-sighted (myopic). With my glasses on and everything sharp, it is very hard to perceive the effect. But with glasses off and everything defocused, it is beautifully clear - I can even see a half green and half cynan spot at the point at which the overlap is 50%.
Silver lining in every cloud ;-)

I can also see an annular effect - an outer ring of 405 with an inner disc of cyan. Gorgeous but only visible with glasses off!
