3V input driver DIY

no the TPS61200 has a max output of 5.5V

never mind, I will find my way about tiny capacitors, tnx for scheme, now I have somethin' to play with hole summer

oh sh't, just occured to me, how the heck do I know the voltage on the capacitors??
By size? if so, somebody post a chart, a table or somethin', much appreciate it

i am building a diy red and i used the lm317 circuit and im plan on using a 6v battery will this not work?

i have read some posts on this topic saying that you need at least 7v and anything under will drain the battery instantly or that the laser will stop working when the battery gets half used becaus it will be underpowered is this true ?
