As you all may know Wicked Lasers is famous on this forum for all the wrong reasons. You may also know they host many many manyyyyyyyy contests for a free laser through twitter and facebook. I was lucky enough to win a #IWantWL contest on AUGUST 31, 2014. Guess what? I still have received NOTHING. Here's my painful position right now.

Oct 5th I ask if there's a tracking number they have for me that I can follow

Email multiple times to receive no response.

After that? NOTHING.

Ever since I was a kid i wanted one of these damn lasers. Was loyal from the beginning despite knowing their reputation of being a bad company. I can see why now. Watch out before you give these guys hundreds of bucks. Their management sucks.

By the sounds of it they are changing ownership soon, that might make things a bit harder for you..

Looks like they are living up to their rep. Sorry you're dealing with this aggrevation mate. Thats not good business practices to say the least.

Never heard of anyone having problems getting free things from them. I wonder if they even shipped it :thinking: they sent me confirmation when I won a core.

According to the WL website, they have already changed management/ownership. One consequence is that they will no longer ship lasers over 5 mW to the U.S. starting in January. Soon after that the policy will extend globally.

wow thats really what they are full of shit nothing else, i bet they just lied about the contest to make some publicity and then make lie after lie why they havent shipped the damn thing, i hope they close down for good nobody will miss them now.

Wana know the best part? A day after I posted this I get a reply when I was in the dark for a month from my last email to them. Gotta love this forum. Thing was when they said they shipped it out last time I asked for a tracking number but got nothing. Now they're offering one to me. Sweet ;)

That's great! Power of the people mang! I'm not surprised as I'm sure these companies are on here regularly. If they aren't then they are poor business minded people. Who wouldn't want to know how the public really feel about their service and products? Answer...not nobody.
They should be so lucky to have a forum where they can find out more information than expensive research and polling.
Thats rad I'm stoked you might get your new hottness!

I really don't expect something huge. If anything it'll just be a core,

But after all this craziness with the shipping and the beef that I posted on twitter claiming their give-aways were fake I doubt they would want to send me anything that big. So I'm really only expecting a core at this point, but hey it's honestly better than nothing. If WL goes through with it I'll be happy and in my eyes WL would be redeeming themselves. It could have been a honest mistake, who knows. I hope it isn't a bad unit XD I really don't think free lasers come with a warranty XD

UPDATE: I received this on November 20th and still haven't heard from them since.
